Be A Light
Into The Great Wide Open
'Be A Light' was our first big interactive installation, presented on Into The Great Wide Open festival in 2012. In the forest visitors found buttons which let them change the lights and projections. One button switched on a theatrical spot light for a moment, other buttons made trees transform into colorful candy sticks or draw a path of light on the forest floor. We added a virtual forest as well, a projected forest on a see-through wall, with glimmering fire flies that appeared when you would move in front of a Kinect sensor. Our interactive 'playground for adults' was widely appreciated by visitors and artists. Typhoon performed in our installation with spoken word, Marike Jager, Tim Knol and the Blue Grass Boogiemen played together under our projected moon.
