Opening 100 Years of De Stijl

For the opening of '100 Years of De Stijl' we created this animation. It is based on the painting 'Rhythm of a Russian Dance' by Theo van Doesburg. The video was mapped on 3 separate high walls in the hall of the Achmea Building in Leiden, which has facades that are based on the same painting. The music we also created for this event. It is inspired by Maurice Ravel's 'Assez vif, Très rythmé'. It is played on our midi-controlled mechanical musical instruments.
